Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Looks like fun. Today, Monday, the wind is 10-12 with 101 degree temp.

Yes Yes, Yet another kite on a lamp pole! BUT this time it wasn't MINE!!
AND this time when the fire dept came out they were escorted by Police Sergeant Richard Head who made an ass out of himself Demanding that they not use city equip to remove a KITE, He was all over Rose the parks gal,and threatened to report her to his and her superior. loudly stating this is totally inappropriate use of tax payers money. then marched of to sit in his car while the very nice and friendly fire Dept happily removed the kite from its perch. I spose the possibility of having the 10 pound 23 ft kite come down on someones head and the resulting law suit would have been  much better use of tax payer money.
Wind was light BBQ was awesome

I didn't know the cop's name.  Sure fits.

Yes, the BBQ was great, as well as the rest of the hospitality.

Well done Brian and Rose.

 Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

Jeez ... those firemen are on the payroll regardless, if they were nice enough to not turn that in as hazard pay the cost was negligible except for the fuel and mileage and if they stopped at the grocery store on the way back to the station instead of a separate trip that was reduced too. Commendable that the Sergeant is watching out for the taxpayers but in the case of a community event maybe a bit misplaced.

Glad you all had a good time anyway.
