Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

@Dano, yeah just heard on the news you all set a new record for Reno, 10 inches at the airport, the old record was 3 inches? if I heard right. This one passed us by, barely a drizzle and some sunshine sometime after 1:00, Steve & Ted got some airtime, we'd gone to a movie when it looked blah then a short hike in the park and enjoyed the new blooms when we got out & found sunshine.

This has been another winter (the first was 2001-02) when I've been praying for the snow to bypass downtown Toronto, because I've been on crutches with a torn Achilles Tendon. And both times my prayers have been answered -- at least so far!! The surrounding regions have gotten normal snowfalls, but the city has been almost completely free of snow and ice! I'm in normal shoes by now (10 weeks into a wonderful non-surgical "cure"), but still vulnerable, so I'm still praying!

So, about 12 hours after I posted that, the snow has started falling! They're predicting around 5-10 cm (=~2-4") -- not exactly the end of the world, but more than we've had this season. I guess I was too smug in taking my good fortune for granted.

And they've given the past 3 months a name -- a "snow drought".
