Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Is the picture in a folder on your computer or online? because it has to be online.

Your best bet is to sign up to something like webshots or photobucket and they will host it for you free.

http://www.tinypic.com/ is even easier and doesn't require a signup.

Webshots has become the work of the devil.  Even visiting the frikkin home page causes the browser to try to execute code that is trapped by the the Virus Scanner.  They REALLY, REALLY need to screen their banner ads.

You can still post a pic directly from your computer, it will be uploaded to Steve's server. You have to keep the size small, 450 pixels wide is a decent size, and in jpeg format. It won't be permanent since the gallery will be cleaned of older photo's periodically but I haven't seen anything disappear while a topic was still active.

Look right under the box you're typing your post into and click on 'Additional Options...' then look for 'Attach:' type in the full path to your picture or click browse to open an Explorer window to navigate to it then highlight the pic file and click 'Open' you can attach up to three pic's so if you have more then one click on 'More Attachments'

You won't see pic's in the preview when done this way but the will show once you click on 'Post'

Keep the Picture small to save Steve bandwidth.

Good question! I've always wondered how to upload pictures but was never actually motivated enough to ask.
