One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

There good news for the kite festival Scheveningen 2010. We (Bob de Jong and me) succeed to get the permits and the money so we can start with the organisation of the 33rd Mascotte Kite Festival Scheveningen.

KITE FESTIVAL PHOTOBOOK

The edition of the kite festival last year was very successful, nevertheless the light wind conditions. I have made photobook of the pictures received of the kiteflier Christiaan Oosterhoudt and from the professional photographer; Michael van Oosten (http://www.michaelvanoosten.com) this book is 112 pages of pictures from last year and can be ordered for about 16.95 euros at;

MASCOTTE KITE FESTIVAL 2010

Date 25 and 26 of September 2010
Location beach Scheveningen the Netherlands

A recommendation for the foreign kitefliers which are travelling from far. It is possible to do Europe Kite tour;
4-5 September Bristol kite festival (UK)
11-19 September Dieppe kite festival (F)
25-26 September Scheveningen kite festival (NL)

My wife's mother grew up in Scheveningen. They left Holland in 1947 when she was 16. It's a small world!
