One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The first one is across the road and the 2nd one is on my way home from Kitchener Ontario. I try to stop for 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour if I can at the second place because the wind is a bit smoother. That is when there is a breeze.

Here are the places I fly often. I try to get to the beach as much as possible, but I seem to find myself more in the fields than on the beach Sad...

Good to see Google finally updated the satellite imagery for that section of the beach... for the past couple of years, it's been showing the inlet as lapping at the foundation of the hotel Smiley

First spot is a local park, many fields available during the week so wind direction is not a problem. Good for morning until 3:30pm when the soccor, and baseball practice starts, too crowded on weekends/holidays

Second spot is behind a school, good on weekends if the wind direction is east or north

Cool John, worked here. We call ourselves Northern California but you could add our field to your map.

Mostly at these 2 parks. You may recognize the blue canopy tops in the upper Google Map. They appear in many of my photos.

Same parks for me.  The first one in 3.5 miles from home and the 2nd one is 29 miles from home.

Liberty State Park is 60 miles from home but my work is halfway there. It's worth the drive!
