One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Oh is that the final match up? Thats great.

These modern athletes are so insanely good, it's hard to believe they're human.  Even the ones who come in last place are still amazing. These hockey players are so precise, it's unreal.

I think I'd either want to be short track speed skater down hiller if I could be in the olympics.

Ya' don't think sliding on your head at 90 mph looks like fun? I'd jump in one of those long before I'd go off that ski jump.

Didn't we already beat Canada once?

Yah, you beat us once, Sad but this next game could still go either way. As much as I want Canada to win, I don't think I would put money on it. I think it will be close.

Go CANADA!

That track is nuts, but there have been some amazing runs turned in there in all the sliding sports.

Got to watch my weightlifting coach's girlfriend, Erin Pac (from right here in CT), take home a bronze for the US in women's bobsled.  She had to take her last run right after the German sled had that ugly crash that ejected the brakeman (I don't know how they do it).  Damn, so close to silver...

And John's right, these Olympic athletes today are barely even the same species as the rest of us.  Even the ones who barely make the team are superhuman.

Hey, aren't we due for the biannual "why isn't kiting in the Olympics?" thread?  Cheesy

Sounds good.  I think I'd like a slot coaching the US team.  I've been mulling over some some ideas on how to turn a sport kite flier into a real athlete  Grin

No, that isn't for a couple of months.  We are due for the, "why isn't kiting in the Xgames?" thread.  You know it's all about sponsorship, right?
