Hi guys, I wish to share this way I used on my Nirbana SUL to make lines gliders on the upper elbow fittings.
As you know some of the older kites don't have the leading edges covering the upper elbow fittings, this may snag the lines performing yo-yos. This happen also in my beautyfull Nirvana SUL, so I decided to try a way to fix the trouble: in truth it is a method I found in my Atelier 00 that I decided to apply also to my Nirvana.
I used a right sized shrink tube, instead of vinyl tube, just because I already had it in my spare parts boxes. My tube was a sort of ribbon so I had to make it round to work. I slided it around a marker and warmed a bit but not too much with a hairdryer, then I pull it out and put on it a little piece of electrical tape marking a cutting line on it. Cut following this line and.....you have the glider!
Just the time to slide it in each leading edges and you are ready to yo-yo with no trouble
