One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Due to The City of Roseville’s Parks and Recreations Department beyond our control, Team SOHR will be unable to host The 16th Annual Roseville Family Fun Fly this coming April 3rd, 2010.

That being said and since we don’t know what else to do because we have been busy with this kite festival on this weekend for the last 15 years, we are going to take this opportunity to go to the park and fly some kites.

Who’s in?

Some have suggested calling this

The First Annual Roseville Kite Festival Memorial Fly

Steve Hall Memorial Birthday Fly (in honor of the passing of his birthday)

Noisey Kites VS Little League MMA Fly

Quite sure we'll make the trip.  Wink

Any chance of considering a new location?

King-John has presented views of a few sites that look maybe a bit better.

Whatever, we're in.

Am I to asssume the Roseville in question is in Nevada, rather than, say, Minnesota?

?

Veterans Memorial Park North, would only be good if the wind is from the north or northwest, either way I would be game.

This park usually has good wind and plenty of room to fly.  Cool

Our intention is to stay (at least this year) at Buljan Park for all the friends and familys that have been coming to the Roseville kite fest all these years.

Important question for the Bob's

Is the flying area of the park reserved?
i.e. Is there a chance of us getting booted from the field for soccer players?

The park is not reserved. We will need to coexist with little league. Any ball games should be few and only about 2 hours.
The Soccer fields should be free to use full time. Pretty much a slightly forshortened space that we usually fly in with more space opening up as the day goes on.
