One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

I just wanted to share what I thought was a great photo my friend took of a person's ghost during a kite festival.

Great shot, a back-lit kite under clouds is about the hardest situation to get a decent shot in, let alone a white kite. That cloud looks pretty threatening, makes me feel a little Ben Franklin Syndrome coming on

Nice ghost photo. I'm strictly a duel-line/quad-line kite junkie but if I were to ever get into single line (non-trick) kites ...a 'ghost' would probably be my first purchase. I like the way they constantly change their shape in the sky!

There are two sizes, as far as I can tell. Steve can probably answer that question better than me. I believe the size Steve is holding is the larger 11 foot wide with 30 foot tails one.  The blue one above is 7 foot wide with 20 foot tails. Standard colors are white, black, gold, blue, red, and purple. I've also seen some multi-colored ones and custom ghosts.

Steve is holding a 14' Frank Schwiemann one...the original.....they look and fly like no others.....the gomberg and premier and other variants look cool but not just are not as nice as Frank's!!!!!!!

Yes, the Frank Schwiemann kite is not inexpensive either! But nothing flows like his tails do.
