One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Here's what can be done on a DS, and I have to say...the precision ain't bad given that this is the afore mentioned pure freestyle kite.

Dope.

Thank You Obijuan for helping me show my point. The DS does fly straight lines when needed but it is a much better freestyle kite.

By the way, Great Video. I wish I could do the stuff you do half as good.

And thank you, Richard, for an informed and well balanced statement about the pros and cons of the different high end boutique kites (although some may beg to differ)

Actually, I think that's Lars Fakkeldij flying in that video.

After looking at the video a couple more times, I think you are correct. It was just I am not use to seeing so much sky in Lars' videos. He is usually always 2 feet off the ground.  Wink

But hat sure looked like him and his hand movements in the beginning of the video.

I'd way rather watch Lars Fakkeldij fly.  My mind isn't blown.  Just looks like a yoyo based tricks demonstration.  I'm not saying it was easy, just boring to watch after about 30 seconds.

That level of flying is impressive regardless of the kite used. After spending 2 hours flying today in almost perfect wind for a Nirana UL and Exile Standard I was quite pleased with my progress. Then I watch this level of flying and realize how much room I have for improvement and the untapped potential that exists in these kites.  My sincere thanks to Lam and those like him who dedicates the time and effort to provide us the opportunity to excel in this sport.

Sorry Lam, I seemed to have hijacked you thread.

Let's get back to questions for Lam about his kites.  Smiley

Lam, When are you going to update your WEB site with information about the new vented Fearless kites?  And, have you changed the bridle on the Std Vented? Mine is a three point bridle.

Not to be speaking for Lam.................pretty sure he's away flyin'...........but the word on the street is that the turbo is gonna be standard on the vents...........................I think he oughta retrofit all the current vents.......you know....................sorta like Toyota.......... As per Lam, here are the current Fearless bridles:

SUL = Turbo
Light = 3 point
Standard = 3 point
Vented Light = Turbo
Vented Standard = Turbo

Sorry Lam, I seemed to have hijacked you thread.

There was a Sea Devil in that video of the Deep Space, so we're ok.
