He broke the center T on his Fearless STD a week ago while doing yo-lazy. I thought the center T was impossible to break but he broke it.

Is it a case of center T malfunction or just bad luck ?

I broke the center tee on my Acrobatx once.  So far, the only part I've never broken is an upper spreader... that one takes real finesse to break Smiley

both myself and a friend broke the center t's on our deep space's within the first couple weeks of owning them. replaced them with the r-sky center t and haven't had a problem since.

sometimes the hard plastic mixture can be too hard, turn brittle and crack easily. the hard rubber variety seems the most durable. just a little bit of flex can be a good thing.

my hunch is it was a material problem, a fluke.

Design fault

Probably just One Of Those Things. Little plastic things break; it's one of life's constants. Put another identical one in, do the same trick repeatedly and it'll most likely stay together forever.

The center T on my Widow wore out after some 10,000 flight miles and gave way.  I replaced it with a Widow Maker center T, and that one still looks good after another 5,000 miles.

@ Jared:  Try dead-launching an Exile UL.  Sliced the US lengthwise, and I barely noticed it until I packed up for the day.  Just heard a weird clicking occasionally...

Wandering OT here, but how are you measuring flight miles?

hmmmmm...... @ 10 mph that's 1,500 hours of flying. That figures out to a little more than 4 hours a day every day for a year or 14 hours per weekend for 2 years. Of course these are approximations based on statute miles.  Cheesy

Denny's the only person I've seen post anything close to those numbers, and he's a nut.

My wife says I'm obsessed, I prefer to think of it as dedicated.

I was less scientific than Denny, factoring in the equivalent of time I had spent sitting in airliners to collect some 500 kmiles Grin, divided by a fudge factor Cool, corrected for the moon phase Embarrassed and multiplied by the average length of the flying lines.  So my guesstimate of 10k +/- 5k miles may be off by a little.  The essence is, I have flown it a lot Smiley.

The Talon I received this Thursday will very likely reduce the mpw (miles per week) for the Widow.  My actual mileage may vary, though  Cheesy.

After you've flown the Talon a bit the Widow is likely to assume the roll of loaner kite/newbee trainer.  Wink
