Well KP8 is officially over, and it was the best ever!!, The weather was warm and sunny, the wind was consistent, strong and clean. The spectators were out in force, the manufacturers were showing/demoing there latest kites. One kite was finished last week and still has no name (everybody loved it's performance.) Another company had a great progressive stack that not only flew great, but everyone was making it trick also. The power foils from Seattle were dragging people across the beach with ease.  Some guy from Vegas had a trick able kite with a 13.5 foot wingspan, it made quite a impression. The donated kites for the special public participation were colorful, flew great and filled the sky and the beach smiles from everyone.

As always the host threw a great party!!!!

The only thing I can say,

THANKS DAVE!!!

This whole Kite Party was truly, as they say, "an E ticket ride"
From the beautiful SLKs on the north side to the Rev lessons on the south side and all of the sport kit flying in between, it was great.

Thanks to everyone who came the distance and made this party very special.  Lynn and I had a ball.

One more thing.  The announcing.  Dave did a great job all weekend.  He kept the fliers on their tows and the crowd on it's feet.

Thank you Dave, thank you.

Man what a great time!
A lot of effort by a lot of people went into making this an epic event for the fliers or flyers (which ever you prefer) as well as the public.

Thanks Dave and crew for making my year.

I would like to thank Dave and everyone else attending, I can't remember having as good a time at a kite event. Meet some great people, had wonderful weather and got a lot of flying in. The drive was long but well worth it, can't wait for next year now.

Thanks ever so to all of the Kite Party attendees

Thanks to Dave and Everyone who attended for a fantastic Kite Party!

I got tips, bought parts, learned a new trick, and got a lesson/training plan.  I met old friends, met some new friends, and had a ball.

As a positive reinforcement exercise, Marjorie asks Demetri every night at bedtime to tell her the best thing that has happened that day.  This is then written into a log book of Good Things.  When we returned Sunday night, Demetri stated that he no question whatsoever about the "best things" for each day.  Saturday's was "Flying, flying, FLYING!!!"

It was great sharing the space with all of you wonderful people!

cheers,

David

What a party!
Getting to know some of the people who've been flying for decades.
Watching the feather weight boutique dual-lines fly in the early moring when nothing else would stay in the air.
The mega-flys!
Kent's Thors Hammer.
The dinners and auction.
Teaching kids to fly.
100 kites... and watching the expressions on the faces of experienced flyers witnessing 100 simple kites flying together.
Smiling for four days straight.
It was another great party!  Thanks Dave!
