I made a kite bag out of an old ski bag that my cross country skis have outgrown!
I shortened the length of the bag by folding it over and sewing it back, creating a pocketed area where I also sewed in a zippered pouch- that fits a tail and a lineset!
Inside theres room for the zephyr case, and the rest of my kites thus far
I also sewed in a neat pouch that came with a computer power supply- that perfectly fits two linesets and folds up with velcro. that's sewn on the inside of the bag. Now I'll have a neat way to keep all my kites together next time I go to the field or beach, and a little "base of operations" to set down when I'm there!
I like the designs of the prism roll up and speed bags, but this way I've got one and the cost to me was $0 !!
I recommend making one of these for yourself if you happen to have a ski bag and feel like learning some sewing skills (I started from scratch on those
) It was a fun project and even though I could have bought a real bag for $40 or so, this one suits my needs for now at least!
Any comments or suggestions? I'd appreciate it!
