Thought I'd post a few quick pictures of my new Purple/Gray B-Series Standard Rev. The original B-Series color combos looked great but I really like the new color combos a little better. The purple panels are where the black ones were in the original Purple/Black ones and comprise more of the total sail area.

The hand-held back-lit shot was just to give some idea of how the colors will look when back-lit. I'll be sure to take some more pictures with it in flight when I get the chance.

I flew one of the new Lime/Gray color combo ones down at TI in January and it really looked great when it was back-lit in flight. The light silver panels really 'sparkle' when back-lit.

Thanks!

The new color combos just came out about a month ago, to the best of my knowledge. I had gotten a sneak-peek ...and actually flew a lime/gray new color combo while in Treasure Island in January of this year. Ben asked me not to say anything about the new color combo, as the final decision on it hadn't been decided on yet. I also wasn't aware that Rev was thinking about doing all the color combos over with the new gray panel combinations.

If you go to the Rev home site, you can see all the available B-Series color combos now, including the original B-Series color combos, so I guess they are still offering both color-combo versions.

I hope to get a little flight time with the new kite this afternoon if the winds co-operate!  Smiley

Thanks John!

I hope to enjoy this beauty for a long time. With the race rods I already purchased in January, this standard and the full vented I bought 2 years ago should cover the entire wind range for my quad flying.  Wink

Aye, std and vtd cover the whole range quite well... The mid vent is sweet too in the overlap, best of both worlds, but not requisite.

What part of the world do you fly in?

I live in the Philadelphia area. Mainly fly there and the Jersey shores ...also in Florida on vacations. I usually show up at least one day during the Memorial Day kite festival in Wildwood, NJ ...and becoming a regular at the Treasure Island festival.

Thanks on the kite's behalf ...or maybe should say on Rev's behalf ....but I live on the PA side of the river, Philly suburbs. Usually fly at 'Pennypack Park on the Delaware' off of Cottman Ave. when flying 'locally'!

You planning on making it to Wildwood during the Memorial Day kite festival? I plan on being there ...probably 2 days of the 3-day weekend.

As an aside, my B-Series came with 2 sets of rods (2-wraps and 3-wraps ...the new ones that are easier to identify), a pair of Rev handles, Rev's LaserPro Gold 90# X 80' line-set on winder, weight kit, CD, and kite sleeve.
