One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Photos from Saturday, 2-6 PM. Overcast for 3 hours, sunny for 1, dusty for most of it. These shots are much more about the people and the event than the kites, unlike Kite Party for example. Not ideal conditions for pictures so don't expect much. We had a great time, even in our short time at Lake Ivanpah.

If you know the names of anyone in the photos, please leave a comment under the picture and I'll transfer it to the caption. Thanks.

Fidelio - Yea, that was me and Bambi in the landsailer, we came shooting in right in front of John with his camera and ripped off a screaming 180.  That was right before we headed out for the Out-n-back with Marty and Brian and ended up getting skunked with the wind.  What should have been a 30-40 minute run turned into a couple hours of waiting for the wind.  Bambi got rescued by Dave in the truck and I was able to hobble back to camp with the sailer.  I think John thought I kid napped Bambi from him cuz we ended up being gone so long.  It was a great time.

Nice pics! Thanks for sharing.

I really like the one called "Wide screen playa". That should make for a wonderful framed shot when blown up and mounted on a wall.

Peace Smiley
