Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Went and tried out the iPad about an hour ago.

It's a little heavier than I expected.
It's very responsive. There isn't any waiting.
Construction is amazing.
Screen looks great.
typing on it wasn't a big deal.

I wish it had more multi touch features
wish it was lighter

I expect like the phones, the Android tablets will be better for power users.

Like they say, it's a giant iPod touch.  The experience is about the same in my opinion.  It doesn't do anything all that much differently than my phone other than it's big and bright.

I'll hold off on getting one.  Down the road, sure it would be nice to have around.  If I traveled a lot I'd rather haul around an ipad than a laptop.

methinks is not a giant itouch really - it truly is a new category product

try the wsj app and see what i mean. it truly is something that a real paper, pc, mac or itouch/phone cant do. not only that - is fully absorbing and compelling

the advertising is in there and far more digestable (less annoying) than other formats. no pop ups like have to be suffered using a browser - my opinion only

as per my first post - am surprised at the lack of interest even though i understand the cynicism

It's the same OS as the phone, so it has the same look and feel.  That's all I meant by saying it's giant ipod touch.

I didn't mean to make it sound like it's JUST an oversized iPhone. Once you're using the iPad specific apps, the experience is much different.
