After you've flown the Talon a bit the Widow is likely to assume the roll of loaner kite/newbee trainer.
The Talon is one gorgeous kite, and each time I have flown it, I have learned something new. After a couple of flying sessions, I would completely agree with you. Except: When I broke the LLE (yes, the BD Nitro piece! And yes, this is _the_ most complex spar I have ever assembled.), I had to switch to my Widow Maker Standard for the rest of the day.
Man, was I surprised when I realized that I could transfer all the new tricks I had learned on the Talon to the WM! All of a sudden, even I would manage good-looking cascades, park my kite an inch or two above the ground for many seconds, and reproducibly pull off spikes, reverse coin tosses, wap do waps and all that stuff!
And then the other day, when it was blowing harder, and I pulled out my Widow to save the more expensive kites, I could do all those newly learned moves with the Widow, too! Well, my Widow is heavily modified and flies a tad better than the average one. But still, this is amazing! So I enjoy the Talon and love it for every minute of flying fun it gives me, but it won't send my Widow and the Widow Makers into retirement just yet. So much more to learn out there
