Once again, I am so proud to announce that the Legendary WINDJAMMERS Kite Team will be performing at the Don Jacobs Toyota Family Kite Festival on May 29th and 30th. The Windjammers International Kite Team, began with the simple love of kite flying. In the early 80's regularly to entertain passersby on a Belle Isle, a small island in the center of the Detroit river. Later they wanted to see the world, while having fun flying kites. Every year, their audiences grows bigger, while continuing to discover new avenues in kiting, ideas. Come enjoy the exciting "World of Kiting"….Besides being really great kite flyers, they are really nice guys as well. Welcome!!!!
I am thrilled to announce that Yves Laforest and his team of Canadians will be bringing some really new, really large and really exciting kites to the Family Kite Festival, and sponsored by our friends at Dole Juices. The Watermelon and the Lemon Lime are out of this world and Dole will be handing out free samples to all. I cannot tell you what the new kites are, as I am sworn to secrecy, and they might hurt me, but they are really big, really colorful, and did I say really expensive kites. Suffice to say, we can all expect the GREATEST LARGE KITE SHOW EVER IN THE MIDWEST!
Our unbelievable lineup of Eric Wolff & the Chicago Fire Kite Team, O2, EOS, Josh and Zach Gordon, The Windjammers, Mike Delfar, Dan Newman, Fire & Ice, Paul Koepke, Yves Laforest, Elizabeth Gordon, Josh and Zach Gordon, Brett Williams as the Kite Whispererer, Dave Bush and Thores Hammer, Ann Vondriska, Mrs Kite Lady, and Mr Kite, (not related) IKE, Tom Deck and his fabulous bubble machine, and other guest flyers, make this the most powerful line up of kite performers in the United States today.
See you in Milwaukee! On May 29th and 30th. Our host hotel is the Comfort Inn & Suites Lakeside. Kites will be sold at the Gift of Wings kite Store in Veterans Park. Great Food from Johnsonville Brats, Palermos Pizza, Nathans Hot Dogs, and Coffee by Caribou Coffee will all be available.
