Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I'd go 2nd hand and try to get what you imagine to be the one you want NOW.

Put a 'wanted' ad up for what you want, and be patient.  There are loads of guys (including this one) with more kites than they need.  Folks get lucky all the time around here.

David,

I am getting my Insync and I would like to get some help on the setting as it seems you know how to enjoy flying it.  The reviews are mixed especially on its setting.  Thanks

...Another I've been enjoying lately is the Insync.  Does everything right for about $125

Fly the kite that you are getting as it comes.  It is set up in what I believe to be its optimal trick setting.  Get some real time on it before you fiddle with the settings.  I am sure people will chime in with recommendations and once you have a few hours on it you might want to try them out,
My advice is to make notes on its current settings in case you change them and then need to go back to them.

Thanks Steve.  I appreciate your comments.  I am sure the kite will arrive with the optimum setting.  I will not try to change anything until I know what I am doing first.

Quite frankly, there is nothing to change with the Insync.

It comes set up on the "precision" settings.

The "trick" settings add nothing to this kite.

You are better off just leaving it set up that way, only making adjustments for wind at the upper leading edge knots IMO.

The only other thing I would do is to add an extra 5gm of weight in higher winds.

Just curious what everyone's likin' these days.
If I was price point shopping at $200 I'd be looking second hand. Find something that the owner "doesn't connect with" Roll Eyes and reap the benefits.

I'd rather pay what it costs for a kite I truly want than settle for just anything because it happened to fall under a certain arbitrary price. YMMV

Mike.
