One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

It's a bit dull. There - that's one opinion for you.  Embarrassed

One main sail colour plus four diddy little centre panels is all you get ? Nothing earth-shattering is coming out of that. Hopefully it flies well 'cos I can't see it selling on looks alone.

Mike,

One thing about all black kites... they're hard to see against certain backrounds. One of the beaches I fly on has a wooded cliff, and it is next to impossible to see the kite & it's orientation against it. If you fly out in the open, there's no issue except in the winter with low light conditions. All black looks cool, but is not great for certain conditions.

I tried that one, and it kept reminding me of  PBSK, so I veered away from that one.  Thanks for the option tho!

Not sure yet, Jons out of the country. He gets back sunday and I'm going to give him a call on monday. I'll post here when I know something. I know the first real sail came back to him from the makers just about a week ago and I haven't talked to him much sence. I'll keep you posted.

thanks for all the input everyone, I'll keep tampering with it but I think im going with Option A or set 3.

Mr. Emery,

With your penchant for subtle, this almost subliminal offering should have been welcomed instead of being deemed dull.

Maybe we should have a "Save The Ocius Sail Pattern Contest" with people using the colorizer as a starting point and adding the odd panel here and there.

I don't think any color layout is going to make that kite look good. Should change the name of the company to Eye Burner.

Devin:

If dark is not an issue for you what is wrong with the black-red-yellow design Jon uses for the Ocius on his website ?  That seems to be a good choice based on the panel variations you have.
