One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Kites and Castles is an annual event held at Martin Bay, Lake McConaughy in western Nebraska. Every year for 21 years, we have held a sand sculpting contest and kite fly for everyone who wishes to attend. We have people from all across America come to our small part of the world to participate in the free sand sculpting contest and kite fly. Why? Well, we offer more than just a sand sculpting contest and kite fly. Every year we have a free live outdoor concert and dance! And seriously, who would pass up free entertainment at the beach!

So this get together was this weekend.

There were about 35 castles and I was the kite.

There was nowhere to fly except the gravel parking lot.

95 degree weather and I flew for 8 hrs entertaining the hundreds of people there. 

Not good.  I will not be going back.

But, I had fun camping on the lake for 2 nites!
