Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

yeah john, but it's obvious i need to incorporate much more variety. can you guess what was being practiced here? Wink
since the wind here doesn't blow the same for 60-90 seconds i'm attempting to let the wind dictate what tricks happen, but this means you can't put a weak trick at the end on purpose because the wind might not let you. like where you see me trying a couple yoyo's while jogging towards the kite and it still didn't go over.

kent, you're too kind.

Nice job working with the tripod. It is REALLY hard to learn to stay in the frame, and still concentrate on doing tricks. I gotta ask... what was the wind speed ? That standard looked like an UL in 10mph winds ! I've never flown a DS, so it's looking to me like it's similar to an Exile, lots of forward drive in not much wind.

rob, having recently been given an anemometer as a birthday gift i can tell you the wind was all the way from 3mph up to gusts of about 17, but it averaged right around 12-13 on sunday while we were there.

thanks art, i hope to post more too.

Heh I think that flying to the conditions and tricking as you go is called Freestyle Flying. Love the surreal look of the big lights in the background. Looked like fun. Good stuff, enjoyed it a lot.

Ouch, that's some crazy wind to tame. I would've been flying a vented ! You certainly made the best of it.
