One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

VERY wide wind range!  All you have to do is alter the towpoint.  Mine has flown in 5 mph and in a measured 24 mph (we were getting sandblasted)

for information sake:
There are Sentinelle kites made by Ramlal Tien. white, long, kayak/joint shaped, no bridle.
There are Sentinel kites made by Scott Hampton.  There were two made for the Billings Montana display at the airport.   They were sold at auction, one of them went to Rhode Island, and I am not certain where the other one went.

You might want to check with Frazier.  He had a line on a couple a while back.

I think I saw building plans on the internet. Is it a copyrighted design?

Just checked ... there are plans on the KitePlanBase website. You might want to check first with Ramlal Tien or Scott Hampton (who makes the smaller version - the Cypod) to see whether it is copyrighted.

Ah no ethical dilema ? Ramial makes his living with kites but if he didn't copyright the design it's free to steal. MAybe he should at this stage offer a license to build ala Dean Jordan and the Jordan air

Whoa.... I don't think that is what oldflyer was suggesting.

"You might want to check first with Ramlal Tien or Scott Hampton (who makes the smaller version - the Cypod) to see whether it is copyrighted. "  to me means asking the designer's permission or go-ahead.... that is how I interpreted it.

There are more than enough other hot button topics in kiting to raise hackles over.

Sam is right - I meant you should check with Ramiel and Scott first to see if they are happy for you to build one for your own personal use.

I know that Scott has no copyright on his cypods..
The sentinelle is a different matter....I know that Ramlal has become very defensive about someone copying it....i am not certain how copyrights work in France though....
He has done a few workshops in Germany though and that (and Brian C) are where the colored Sentinelles come from....Ramlal only made white ones *and two black ones....

And yet we wonder why we can't attract more people to kite flying.
