One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

There was a little bit of everything this year in Grand Haven.

Friday was mostly rain for the kite workshops with wind coming over the trees. Challenging.

Saturday was foggy all day. Wind was light and variable.

Sunday was perfect. Sun and wind off the water. Thousands of people on the beach, some even paying attention to the kites. Cheesy

What would be a festival without pictures:

Great pictures. I currently live a little farther north outside Mackinaw City, but when I lived in Grand Rapids my favorite spot for flying was Grand Haven.

Doug,

Something collapsed the text and changed "om/watc" into "..."

Cheers,

Interesting picture of Darryl's manta ray taken with Daniel Brink's KAP rig.

A few other pics here
