Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I'm with you on this one.

Don't get me wrong, I have 2 of the original Aerobe's and they are fun little kites. But I think if I were to get a larger version of it. I would spend the extra $$$ and get the MANTA.

Anxious to see a price, the indoor video Bell posted was pretty nice, approaching the Manta in floatiness to my eye, I wasn't as impressed with the short line outdoor vid's. The graphics are an improvement if you like eye thing.

unfortunately until we see any sort of pricing i am not going to hold my breath on how much of a $ difference there is between a Manta and a Xl Wala........

The name "Wa La"....in the filipino language, Tagalog,  means ........nothingness...... as in Buddhism

myself and a friend both flew the smaller ones all winter here in vegas and had a great time with them. they were a hit with all the flyers here, everyone liked them.

one of the things i really liked about the original, was the simplicity in the graphics. the eyes were accentuated by not having to compete with other elements. the kite had personality, not just graphics.

it's my hope in the larger version at least one color combination will be available which is more modest than those shown here.
if so, i'll definitely add one to the bag.

The Wala XL in the indoor vid reminds me of the Toruk in Avatar....flying high above the smaller Ikrans (Wala)...
