Ok, I'm back at Jockey's Ridge, and Kitty Hawk Kites, in Nags Head, NC. The temperature is near 100F, the humidity is near 200%RH, and the heat index is around 115F. Needless to say, not to much flying, going on, up on the dunes. But more importantly, the "Lost Rev", is still unclaimed, and there have been NO inquires, in nearly two months. I think it's time that we chalked this one up, as a DONE DEAL................

Agreed, it looks like you've made an earnest attempt to find the rightful owner with no luck, you've gotten good plans to get the kite back into service by sharing it with others. After your efforts I think you could call it your own with no guilt, you're still going a step beyond.

I guess this is the silver lining to the lost REV Smiley

Instead of being lost and forgotten, it will bring joy and hopefully more fliers to the sport we love Smiley Smiley

You did a great job Nick. I think the outcome, even though it is not what we all wanted is a positive after all.

Well Done B)

You did more than many would have done.

Turn it into a "friendship" trainer. Have everyone you teach sign and date the kite with a Sharpie™. If the owner ever pops up, you can show them how many people were brought into kiting through their "donation".

Good job.  Smiley
