with most of the mass produced kites the manufacturers say to keep them at right angles to the spreaders..............it helps to slightly cant them in to the spine to help hold the spreaders together in meetings with terra firma
It can really affect how the kite flys by changing the sail shape (shape shifters on the Sano SS
) I once saw Mark Reed move the outer spreader attach points on a QPro in towards the inners...............Can't really know why he did it, but it sure flew great!
