One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Is there a correct way of positioning the stand-offs on your kite? Should they lean towards the spine , at right angle to the spreaders, or away from the center? Does it affect the performance and the way the kite flies?

Yes Yes Yes no and yes Wink

with most of the mass produced kites the manufacturers say to keep them at right angles to the helps to slightly cant them in to the spine to help hold the spreaders together in meetings with terra firma Wink  It can really affect how the kite flys by changing the sail shape (shape shifters on the Sano SS Embarrassed ) I once saw Mark Reed move the outer spreader attach points on a QPro in towards the inners...............Can't really know why he did it, but it sure flew  great!

Kant Fly......might just as well buy!
