Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

3 sport kites ?
I would choose either a set of Sea Devils (SUL, light, mid-vent) or
a set of Fearless (SUL, light, light vented). Those would fly in all conditions, and do every trick that you could think up. People say to pick a kite, and stick with it, you'll learn the fastest.
All the rest are for variety, and for unique designs (beauty of flight).

PDSUL, Moonie Mamba UL, Ocius standard.

If I did three set's of things, it would be...
Mamba Set, Ocius Set, Vendetta set.

 Huh  Huh  Huh

Sorry.... immortalized on the Internet now.  I am making room in my bag(s)  for the Ichiban, Manta  and some of your other cast-offs.

I am printting this out as I type this.

I wonder if I can get it done up banner size by the time Newport rolls around.  Would save a fortune in skywriting bills.  Tongue   Cheesy

If you are flying competitvely or trying to learn tricks in earnest I can see limiting the number of kites you fly or own (lest you be tempted to cheat), so that it doesn't screw up your muscle memory.

Otherwise.... piffle.... my favorite days (rare though they may be) are with a small group of friends... staking out some banners / SLKs and actively flying whatever falls out of the bag for as long as daylight, wind, and park rangers allow. Dinnner and drinks afterwards wouldn't be a bad thing.

And no, I won't be limiting myself to only 10 CDs/Books/DVDs on the desert island, either.   Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

Sam

Rev 1.5 SUL
Rev 1.5 standard.
Rev 1.5 vented.

My kite bag will hold three kites, one set of handles and three line sets, 75', 100', and 120'.

Seems to cover the bases pretty well.
