One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Some video that I shot for VF, but couldn't use.

Music selection was inspired by James comments on his FVL as "the bomb digitty trick master"!  Smiley

No, I was frightened off by the tilt of the field.   Cheesy  Just wrong form.

(No seriously, I funked up that word big style.)

Thanks obi - this is the aptly named "kite hill" and it has quite a slope to it.  Smiley

It's reputation (probably due to the great Prism kites and flyers of lore) is greater than it deserves, but its the best close-by spot for me.  I can't tell you how many folks I've taken there to fly who have been completely underwhelmed by the fields lack of both size and wind.

Several spots where people tend to fly - Kite Hill (Lake Washington), Gasworks (Elliot Bay), and Golden Gardens (near North Beach).  Depending on the wind direction, each of them can be excellent.

ET knows of a few spots closer to downtown that he told me about, but I haven't tried those.
