Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

It's a real Rev.  In fact, Ben DID give it to him.  They had to cover the Rev logo for the show.  The bike guy had tape covering the make of his bike as well.
hmm...i did not know about he logo brand issue on the show...interesting....

very cool no matter what! Connor did a great job!

I must say though, my favorite part is the end- "When I'm flying nothing can touch me, not even X's"

Yeah Connor!
Best of luck to him and Amy in the future shows!

Conner will be flying (and signing autographs) at the Lincoln City Summer Festival this weekend. I'd say he is the most famous kite flier in America today.... Wink

Best entertainment industry quote so far:

Entertainment Weekly - Margaret Lyons
The last legitimate talent of the night was indoor-kite flyer Connor Doran's strangely hypnotic routine.    Who knew kites had that kind of emotional sway?

It would be interesting to track the increase in views of indoor flying vids on youtube. Certainly Connor's vids must be getting seen, but I wonder if lots of people are looking at others, especially some of the really showy stuff like Lee & Debbie. Hopefully lots of eye opening going on out there

But regardless of all that, it's just totally cool for anyone to get out on the stage in that venue and perform, especially when another very talented flier had such a bad experience in the past.

Guts and style and grace. Good work Connor!

This is really all this SPORT needs is good advertising both for the two line and four line kites. Best line ... nobody can touch me not even X's when I fly ... I guess we all have felt like that when we fly on that perfect day in our favorite spot.

I have two indoor videos on YouTube. One got no hits in the past 24 hours. The other got 240 hits after being relatively static for a year at a couple of hits a day.

Watched him last night, it was great.  Glad to see the "judges" appreciate his flying and routine and have him move on to the next round.   Good luck in Vegas!
