Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Hi
I hunted one for years on the swap meet. Finally picked one up. I really enjoy flying it and it always turns heads. If the winds are gusty it can really pull in the middle of the window. If you find a used one make sure to recement the eclips. I had one pop loose and ended up with some sail damage.

I had a TH for a couple of years, and have regretted selling it on several occassions.  It is a beast of a kite, but a tricky beast.  As already mentioned, it does nice flat axels and biiiiig half-axels and cascades.  It also does big, flat 540's and lazy susans, and, as you can imagine, monster tip stabs.  We tried and tried to do Jacob's Ladders with it, but the arm movements needed for the half-backspin are soooo big that we could never get it to go all the way...maybe if your arms are like 4 feet long you can get one to go.  The TH also does good precision, so it can be used as a ballet kite if you are so inclined.  It is not fast at all, more like slow and lumbering, and makes an almost jet-like "swoosh" sound when it flys by.  It pulls like a truck, manageable up to about 10 mph, 12 will have you slidding on the ground when you fly through the power zone, and anything over about 14 is foolhardy.  The frame is huge, but it can be broken.

I built a large kite this winter. Winter project after seeing Thor's Hammer on the forum. It ended up 5.5' hign by 12 ' framed up . Flies well and weighs in at 1.5 Pounds . I don't know how to post pictures .Wind range is around 2to 15 . Most fun to fly 5to 10. Doesn't pull that hard . have flown on 65 lb. lines but like 85X150 better . It is a blast to fly ..Dave
