Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

"If you're going to try to argue that Rogallo wings produce lift as anything other than true aerofoils then I'm afraid I can't help you.

I would and do argue that lift for either tethered or untethered winged aircraft having an airflow across a wing surface positively inclined to the airflow is a product of the correctly applied theories of both Bernoulli and Newton, the wing surface does need to deflect the airflow in order to create lift.
A wing does not need to be what is commonly understood to be an aerofoil section to provide lift, an inclined rigid flat plate will do well enough if you accept slightly more drag.

Defineing a "true aerofoil" could prove to be difficult, the Rogallo's single skin under camber wing is just one type of aerofoil and according to Rogallo's own lift/drag figures not a particulary efficient one, later developments of the wing by Rogallo and others produced more efficient devices.
