One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

I've a question regarding Berry Blue Lines. I have 2 sets of 135feet and 125feet Berry Blue Lines which I'm planning to cut down to 120 feet and 100feet for some individual and team based flying.

Normally whenever I use Laser Pro Gold, I tend to go for 150LB for moderate to high wind and 90LB for light wind (ULs). I've stopped using 50LB (except for indoor) altogether as they break too easily.

So comparing both my Berry Blue 140LB, would it tend to be more of an equivalent to Laser Pro's 90LB or 150LB? The blue line seems to look a bit thinner. Have anybody made a weight comparison for BB 140LB and how heavy it is in relative to the LPGs?

From my experience, I can say BB140# is stronger than LPG 90# (as you'd expect). I don't know if it's stronger than LPG150#, but I've always considered it comparable. I've flown it a lot with hard pulling kites and never found it lacking. I think they both handle wraps well.

In the BB line, the 75# is really the standout. More slippery than 50# and thinner than 90#. A really good light wind line. 90# Shanti or LPG is a lot slipperier, so I like it better for situations with lots of wraps.
