This is a bit unusual, but . . .
I had a set of moderately large windchimes strung with some cheap braided nylon (?) line. After about 2 months hanging in 1/2 sun, 1/2 shade, they came crashing down in almost no wind this afternoon.
I have some bulk 90# spectra, (only about 12 ft. and left over from an airfoil construction project) and was thinking about using it to restring the chimes. Does anyone know how UV-resistant spectra is? Am I wasting my time and spectra? Yes, our flight lines get plenty of sun, but they spend most of their time indoors.
If not spectra, is there some other more UV-resistant line/cord you'd recommend?
Thanks in advance
