One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

As usual, I cannot get to open Randy's video tutorial.  Cry

Can someone here explain the sequence/hand movement of this particular trick in words ? Is there other good tutorial available ?  Tutorial that I used now is 'mama' utube video.

Quote
This is from 'Jared'  -  Assuming that you want to do a counter-clockwise insane:
His approach is to fly the kite to the top of the window, then turn the kite to the left so you're starting to point the nose at the ground.  Just before you've completed the 180 degree turn, sharply axel the kite using your right hand, then keep the right line taut while giving slack with the left.  You're basically snagging the right line around the wingtip, and causing the kite to pivot around that line.

I assumed the insane move is the first sequence of the rolling cascade. Please correct me if I'm wrong. After that then what Huh ?

Also I saw 'mama' doing it in the middle of the wind window. Does this trick has to do it in the middle of the wind window ? What is the best wind range on this trick ?

Thanks...

Work on entering the insane from horizontal flight first and then this one is pretty easy.

I use more of a small snap to get the kite to go nose away and then maintain the tension of the snapping hand and the wing will wrap and roll on the line.  From there, its timing to pull it out and then go the other way.

I find more wind is better for this trick (like the insane).

I had trouble opening Randy's video's too, this cured it  VLC Media Player, heck it's free and works with Windows, Apple and Linux. Right click his video links and choose "Save target as" in Windows for the best playback. Then if you want to convert them to a friendlier format or to put them on your tablet, phone, ipod etc and are running Windows grab eRighSoft's SUPER , also free.

No more excuses, get the best  Wink
