Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Every time before I fly, I will go to my local weather site to check on the weather. In that site, there is a Doppler Radar live feed in my area.  From the live feed, I can predict the time when will it rains or the duration of the rain.  My first prediction was accurately to within 15 minutes.  Amazingly accurate.  Cheesy Now I have more flying time because of the Doppler Radar live feed.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I used to use the met reports from my local airport, the wind speeds are much better from their obs. than you ever get on local TV.

If any UK readers don't know about it already www.xcweather.co.uk is done with that data
