One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Can someone tell me how to remove an old listing, from the Swap Meet section.  I updated my listing, and I can't get rid of the original listing (?)

I keep getting a message that says:

An Error Has Occurred!
You cannot delete your own topics in this board.

What the heck does this mean, if I can't delete my own post, who can??
This makes no sense, and I don't want to clutter up the Swap Meet ....

Help !   Anyone !

You can't remove the first post in a new topic if there has been any response to the thread. You may be able to if there have been no responses, I'd have to setup an alias to check that. But you could've edited your original post to reflect your updates although in the Swap Meet you are encouraged to leave your posts, asking prices etc. as a resource for others.

Open up your thread and goto your original post and click the "Modify" button and then use the strike-out feature, just highlight the text you wish to change and click the S button, then add your changes. Some will strike-out the kite from the post then add SOLD. But leave the content of the post, it will still show up in a search but will be obvious to future readers that the price has changed, the kite has sold etc.
