Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I personally know 10 and I imagine that there are many more - perhaps hundreds if you define active to mean flys roughly 4 times per month.

So, I'd say 2000 (to be generous) in a population of 33,311,400 = .006%.

Seems like more 4 line than 2 line action up there these days. Then there's Ray, who flys 6 lines. :-)

9 out of 10,000 North Americans. . .

(I stole that gag from an old ad for Cynar, an aperitif that I -- and 9 out of 10,000 North Americans -- used to drink.)

I've accurately been reporting on the number of kiters for many years.

There are six kiters in Canada.

I think you meant to say 6 squared kiters didn't you John........That would mean it's real close to the magical number of 42 Wink

No, didn't mean 6 squared. I meant 6 because that's how many there is.  I've been an authority on this for at least a decade.  Grin
