One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I tend to prefer flying in under 10mph, so that is sounding like a good match?  How does something like a Sky Burner Ocius handle in 1015+?  Would that be a good breezy day flier to compliment something like the Exile?

IMO the Exile calms down enough to remain flyable over 10mph if you simply put a pair of 100ft 200lb lines on it to slow it down.

I would look at the new Mongoose for the Exile concerns. I have an Exile, both std. and ul, the 'goose apparently will handle higher winds better from what I understand, and is a full sized kite too. It's probably going to be my next kite purchase.

I checked out the Blue Moon Kite forum's section for the Mongoose. It's good reading. Check it out. If it's high end is better than the Exile's, it might be something to consider. I'd be interested in hearing more about how it compares to the Vented Talon or Talon std.

For me, when the wind speed starts to pick up, tricking is less fun because I have trouble running fast enough and being more aggressive in my inputs. Anything over 12-15 mph, for sure, means the duals get put away and the quads come out.  If you REALLY want good performance at those speeds I think you might have to work at it. For me, when the forecast is 10 mph or less, I'm there.

I think I have settled on an Exile and hope to order one in the near future.  Actually, that purchase is contingent on a non-kite related ebay auction I have going, but when I have cash in hand I plan to get one.  The description, comments and video of that kite combined the strong support for BMK in general make it a very attractive choice for me.  Some of the European kites look very desirable as well, but the pricing is just not competitive enough when we have great makers in the US.

Now I just need to figure out colors.  Will report back when I have that figured out and pull the trigger.
