Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

August has been particularly difficult in Virginia this year and last Monday afternoon was the pits. I brought out my trusty SUL STX, attached my 217 foot lines and banged it up to deep sky. I found great wind at about 150 feet - estimated 10 mph (about 1.5 mph at ground level) and I flew for about 45 minutes. Sweet flying. I was not successful in bringing the wind to the ground that afternoon but I still had a darned good time at 150  to 170 feet and it was a lot better than boiling in my own sweat at ground level. So how was the wind where you were flying?

By the way, how is popping a paper bag doing for you?

Stoney,
dump the dualies,
take an indoor quad-lined kite
and actually enjoy those dead calm days
