It was 20 years ago today that he passed away in the helicopter crash leaving his last performance.

Had a friend from Austin that introduced me to his music in '84 or '85.  Was amazed and still am.

damn I miss him! Got to see Stevie Ray shortly before he passed on over down in Greenville, MS at the Delta Blues Festival, headlined by Albert King, Stevie's hero. Stevie was waaaay on that night!

I was always a huge fan of his, even before he died.  I have a huge collection of his music including some extremely rare stuff.  1 of the rarest albums was released in Europe, and only 400 copies were made.  I also have many of his limited editions like his "silk box" set and several others.  I have studio tapes of him playing with all of the then well known other artists.  What is your favorite song???  Here is mine.  "Riviera Paradise"

favorite? Too hard to say, I do like some of the slower more ballad stuff, but as I ponder that, here's a smokin number with Jeff Beck, Stevie shines here...

I love this song too, as a matter of fact I chose it as the background music for one video flying my E3 a year ago:

Prism E3 22-Aug-09

but I've never seen him playing it, thanks for that video, I enjoyed it a lot.
