One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I've been trying to get a few P200 sticks for the last 2-3 weeks. According to our host, until production resumes, they're scarcer than hen's teeth. I had placed an order through another (unamed?) online store when they indicated that they had the rods. They were delighted to accept money through Paypal and then listed order status as "on order" from supplier. Over the last 2 weeks I tried to get status from them through the online inquiry CS - NEVER ANSWED A SINGLE EMAIL OR INQUIRY!!! Only way to get info is to call - great CS!

Finally thought to call Kites and Fun Things directly (I guess they are Sky Shark/Sky Burner storefront?) and voila! The new P200's are in stock but not yet listed on the site so I guess you have to call. Anyway, thought I'd mention that the P200 drought may be over and let Steve know, too.

I don't want to say who the first retailer was but since they did such a great job of jerking me around, I will say that their initials are Fun With Wind (oops, did I say that out loud? Mods can delete this if it violates policy.) - I will say that when I called to cancel the order, they refunded through Paypal immediately.

If it is the same place I think it is I had a similar, yet not as difficult or money hording experience.

I ordered two 2PT from them as backups and it took 1 month to arrive (in the store).

If I need things quick, fast and at a very good price I go to Steve.  If it is to back-fill my kite bag, I drive to them.

Glad you got what you need.

Yeah there seems to have been quite a bit of shakeup in the spar industry over the last few months. I think Skyshark has moved production to a new manufacturer, the PX series rods were most likely wound by Carbon Express where I think the P series were also being done. Avia has also gone out of business but all the mandrells have been purchased and production of the whole line will continue. So everything is still looking good if not better with only a little blip in availabilty, and maybe the G-Force rods will again see an increase in use with the new distributers, options and competifion can be a good thing.
