Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The guys flying them here are putting one of the smallest ball bearing fishing swivels at the tow point, 'old school' I know but it helps with line twists and they feel actually balanced the kite better. A lot of adjustments you can make to dial in the flight to your liking, great kite, have fun.

plan available doesn't means it can be copy ....

BTW this is what i learn from kite organization, whatever their friend did is right and 100% legal ... copy kite only apply to those not in their group ... this really ego and really love their selfishness + brainless ...

If you look at the linked page on KPB it contains a clear link to the designer's page where Steven Horvath has published the plans and made them freely available for non commercial use.

So the plan is free and the copy on KPB is attributed

A surprising statement in this context but nonetheless interesting. Can we infer from this that you are someone who has been accused of copying?

you are right ...
Even a single cent trade is consider commercial ....

Guy you know what really make my day, even the kite maker is admit his mistake and apologize to the designer but the community just back it up blindly cause he is a friend (ask the designer or kite maker to confirm it or you need the contact number of the firm ? ), try to ask the kite maker said it in PUBLIC, he didn't steal it ......
this really make me laugh ....

tired with idiotic organization, IP, Copy right ? what a real shame of blind support ....

So let's all chear aloud "Hurray"!!!!!!! and have a drink on friendship.
Believe the "legal discussion" is already going on in an other thread.

thanks .....
i'm not against kite maker or buyer, just i found most of senior kite flyer behavior/attitude is double standard, they can blindly support or against something without knowing the fact ....

And i do feel shame on kite maker, he create all havoc and disappear without apologize and aware all buyer  ....

ez hasn't said who he got the kite from or whether money changed hands. Any use of copyrights and creative commons licensing for a "Manufactured product" is not really defined if even relevant since they are intended for protection of art, music, literature etc.

If ez did "Contract" somebody to build him an Urban Ninja for his own use that falls into that undefined area. Money changed hands but as reimbursement for the materials and a sum for labor, not for the kite itself, although the end result was ez receiving a kite.

The creatve commons license does not restrict you from paying a copy shop to make copies of available literature to share with others. It does not impede you from paying your Internet service provider to store and transmit copies a CC licensed photograph. As long as whatever is covered by the CC license is properly attributed to the licensor.

So ez that little tag on the bottom of that kite acknowleges the design by Horvath and has the URL to his website containing the Creative Commons License statement, and you visited the URL yourself http://www.horvath.ch/ninja/the_urban_ninja.html and clicked on that "Donate to support the project" button at the bottom ... right ez?

There all better now  Wink
