Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Year ago when first researching kites this is one of the threads that put BMK on my man I want one list. Sky Burner, Lam and Benson are the others. Benson will be had within the next 6 months. Can't add anything as far as reviewing goes. Mine was built 1/11. It's in fantastic shape. The durability of a BMK as far as I can tell is not an exaggeration. While the color combo did not excite me in the pics it really pops in the air. On first flight it made me laugh with joy. Poison dart frog is what came to mind. Love the color. First hour and a half winds were o to 5 with a few bumps to 6 or 7 mph. Mines nitro framed and was very impressed with the low wind control. When losing power kite glides instead of dropping with next to no yaw. Belly launches very flat which is going to help me with all my other kites holding and transitioning thru the pancake. Didn't take but a few fails for the kite to show me what it wanted. My full size standards are a ITW Hydra and Widow Maker Pro. Expected the Mongoose to be very different and it is. Has the deliberate nature of my Zephyr but smoother and oddly feels very polite when I make a mistake. Spent about 3 hours the next day in pretty smooth 10 mph give or take winds. I have a tendency to get excited and miss my marks a lot. Hilarious but does impede progress. Flying this kite I stayed very calm for me with a lot of huge grins and much laughter.Very little need to yank and spank. Next day 4 hours in very similar winds with the Widow and I was just stoked how the Mongoose has tweaked my vision and inputs in such a short time. This kite will definitely help me get to level 5 faster than I thought. There is a huge disappointing drawback to this kite though. It makes me want a Mamba and Exile even more  Huh.
