One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Hi all,

What do you think about this a cool new way to name kites.  The idea is to take the actual name of the kite in question, extract out just the first letter, then use that letter whenever you want to refer to the kite.  For example, a Nirvana becomes an N kite, a Machine is an M kite, Sea Devil is an S kite, and so on.  Now, there might be some prior art on this idea, but I suspect the owner would be happy to share.

Who ever thought of this must like doing things the long way.

"F Kite" thats like............ 5 letters................... Huh

I mean why type "D Kite" when you can type DS, or "S Kite" when you can type SD or "K kite" when you can type KFX or "N kite" when you can type NFX or "M Kite" when you cane type MXS.....and so on and on and on.

See how I have already saved everyone time Wink

Besides I don't see how one particular kite is THAT MUCH better than others so as to lay claim to an entire letter.... Roll Eyes
