One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

Icons White rods are not unbreakable. While out flying in high wind today I managed to shear through the lower spreader while doing overly aggressive lazies. It won't be for a few weeks before I get replacements in this part of the world for Icone Whites.

I do have some 5PT spare rods and I'm thinking of temporarily using them on my Cosmic TC STD since
I know they have the same weight of the Icone Whites. The balance of the kite won't change but wondering how will it feel on the tricks and precision element of the kite if I do use 5PTs instead?

Also I'm curently still tryin to figure out the Cosmic inside out so I'm not extremely proficient with this kite yet so I'm not sure changing the framing now is a good idea.

The kite will fly differently. That said I don't think it will do anything extremely drastic, just make the LS a bit more flexi. This can have a bunch of affects.

If it were one of my kites, I would probably do it as a temporary repair, then switch back to the whites when they came.

I don't think Icone Whites were marketed as unbreakable.

Your center T with the 5pt ferrule will be loose. I'd suggest you sheath the 2400 ferrule for the 5pt with a P100 long enough fit the width of the center T.

No doubt the 5pt's will be more flexible. I'd say noticeable so at that length but should get you by until the Whites show up.

You could always use aerostuffs ...  that is their upgrade option ....  fly's much better IMHO
