One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

My wife just gave me a complete package to go to the Nascar race in Phoenix. NationWide and Sprintcup with pit passes. I have been to a lot of car races, but nothing like this. I will say that you men should cherish your wives. This was a shock and beyond anything I would have expected. We are leaving tomorrow and will be back Monday.

A good wife is a wonder.

Bambi was the one who introduced me to grown up kites.

Not quite sure how she feels about that decision now.  Roll Eyes

My wife wonders what on earth fascinates me as a grown up about kites.

Is that the same thing?  Roll Eyes

Actually thinking about it, I'm not so sure she thinks I've ever grown up, even at the age of 50.

Have a great time, Don

I just read something about the components of a good marriage and what women need. If you give your wife companionship, an ear, and communication, you'll be satisfying a lot of her needs. Apparently, guys need the usual as well as recreational companionship. I've always enjoyed my wife's company and any of my failings are covered over by my willingness to spend time and talk with her.

All that being said, she gives me a lot of lattitude with kites because she knows how much they mean to me.

What goes around, comes around.

(My teen-age kids are in agreement that I'm not much older than a kid maturity-wise. I've picked up yo-yoing now in addition to kites. I got the Yoyo Factory Speed Dial and loving it and now I'm thinking about the 888 or a Hitman.)

Not only has my wife put up with my kite addiction for over 30 years, she recently found a practice on the coast so I would have better winds to fly.

Got to love em

Just a gal reading your posts...

IMHO... The main reason your wives are so wonderful is that you are too! ...You appreciate her! ...and she feels the same way about you!

Many say that women are impossible to figure out! You guys haven't had any problem with that! That makes for a wonderful life for the both of you! Priceless!

...and Congratulations!   Wink
