One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

dano, any chance you could pack up a pint of your homebrew for my brother? i let it slip you were a brewmeister and he lives for the stuff.
Whooooowww... someone is holding out! Rule is, if you did not bring enough for everyone.... then I'm first in line!

Which reminds me... I'll need to pack up a backpacking stove to make some hot chocolate. See, this is sounding better and better!

I just checked the weather again and I don't know that I've ever seen so many zeros for wind speed.  Shocked

They just don't know I'm rolling into town. Once they find out, I'm sure the wind forecast will be increased.

I picked up a portable propane heater (tank top type) and I'll have that out.

I'll also be out flying on Saturday which looks to be a great day... 60 degrees with 5mph winds! I should be out around 11am and flying until around 3pm.

I still need to see if I can finish up a bol I've been working on, get the truck packed, attend thanksgiving dinner and clean up before leaving. Isn't it always crunch time in the last few hours. The snow trucks knocking over my mailbox turning last nights storm did not help. Spent the entire day putting it back up (cement and a 6x6 are now holding it up). What fun in 20 degree weather.

Friday night was great fun. So very nice to meet everyone. Wind was light to nothing but we managed to fly for awhile. I took some photos and will post them when I get home. Waiting in line for hotel breakfest and then out for round 2 of flying.

Great fun!

 Smiley

I'm sitting at the in-laws reading about UNR's big win last night.

After getting home last night i had to sit in the jeep for 1/2 hour listening to last of the game.
4minutes left- 24-24 tie
Boise pulls a td w\ about 1.5 minutes left - 24-27  Sad
13 seconds left, UNR td = 31-31
2 seconds left Boise missed a 26 yd fieldgoal
Overtime- Boise misses ANOTHER short FG.
The rest is history. Huh, Darren?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

BOOM (cannon fire)

t'was great to hang out with everyone. i had a fun time, though i didn't have to drive all day for the privilege. good thing you brought the heater tcope or i might be singing a different tune. hadn't expected it to be the coldest friday since last winter but i suppose it's the right time of year to adjust expectations.

each attendant added greatly to the character of the evening. the only disappointment is those from greater distances aren't our weekly companions.

we missed you chilese, it's just not the same when you're not there.

Winds seem to be about 20+ here where i'm at.
Would it be a bit calmer up at patriot?

I might be up for a short fly this morning before going home Godfather.

On another note..
If my LV friends have not seen Jan Rouven perform down at Freeemont, go see him before Nov. 30th. He performs twice daily @ 8pm and 10pm.
Caught him last night and it was AMAZING!

The Wardog double IPA I had beforehand at Big Dog Brewery was pretty amazing too!  Grin Thanks for the tip Mark!
