One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

John

Nice flying, nice looking kite, lovely trick transitions and great camera work too - very enjoyable!

It could have been a totally different video if that dog had been any quicker!!!!

So... what will the new kite retail for? Any specs?

Thanks Nigel, I've really enjoyed flying the Kymera... Very solid in the hands during flight, forgiving in the transitions as well.

No way, then I'd just be quicker... I absolutely LOVE working dogs with my kites, never had a bite in 20 years.

Of course, the key point here is that once I engage the dog, it's on me, whatever happens.

If I didn't want to play with the dog, then it's up to me to stop buzzing around and politely/firmly flag down the owner. Smiley

Price hasn't been confirmed yet, but we're aiming for $200-$220 MSRP.

Basic specs...

Frame: P300 Skyshark
Sail: Ripstop Polyester
Wingspan: 86" (just over 7')
Weight: 11 Oz (before adding the two included 5 gram tail weights)

Also yet to be confirmed, but the 3 available trim colors should be lime (like in the video above), blue, or red.

Again, these will be produced by Into The Wind, but available through any retailer (GWTW will be able to order them).

First batches should be available just after KTAI in February. Wink

Thanks John, loved the play with the dog, good laughs. Also greatly enjoy watching a little agressive flying as demonstrated in the second half too.

John, Is there going to be a demo kite to send around for the forum members?

Peace

Demo factory kites from the manufacturer aren't typical, these generally come from the stores.

However, I get around a lot and will certainly let anyone try my gear. Smiley

Update... Due to the factory workload, it appears that the Kymera won't be available until June.

Still rocking and rolling, just a little delayed. Wink

Great looking kite John. Seems more than capable in the trick area.  How is the precision?

Graceful.... spin landings to wap-do-waps
I'd be really interested in seeing this particular combo.
